There is no simplified divorce in Georgia, however, both parties can sign a Marital Settlement Agreement.

PROPERTY DISTRIBUTION:

If the parties cannot agree on how to divide the marital property, the court will decide based on equitible distribution.

CHILD ISSUES

The parties can agree on child custody, either sole custody or joint custody. If the parties cannot agree, the court will decide what is in the childrens best interest.

Parties can agree on a child support amount, if they cannot agree, the court will calculate child support based on the Georgia child support guidelines.
